Welcome to my Studio,
I'm a studio artist who often paints on location, but also in my studio. I prefer to work from life but I also work from my own drawings, paintings, photographs and memory. I like to search out images that have personal meaning.
I have a daily practice of creating images of where I live, real and remembered and imagined melded together as one. It is the way I explore and develop deeper understanding of our shared world. Climate change, the Wilderness experience, community living, and personal experiences are all influences that are reflected through imagery.
I have a degree in art that focused on sculptural work in clay. I made clay murals for 20 years, drawing and painting to plan them and to do presentations for work in public spaces. I shifted from clay to painting in the mid 1990's as a convenience for my family life. Originally, I thought the change was temporary but I fell in love with paint, and painting, so here I am decades later still painting..
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my work.
Thank you for visiting. Please contact me with questions and comments. I always like hearing from people who enjoy what they see in my paintings. If you see a piece that becomes a favorite, let me know. I hope you'll return often to visit it online. Favorite paintings are like friends that you visit over and over again, learn from, and experience differently through the years.
